Electronics Testing Technician

Location: South Metro Twin Cities, MN
Schedule: Onsite during training, transitioning to a hybrid schedule thereafter
Job Type: Full-Time, direct hire; No C2C or third party
Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Testing Technician to support product testing, validation, and quality initiatives for electronic hardware systems. This position plays an important role in evaluating product performance, reliability, and safety while partnering closely with engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with electronic testing, laboratory equipment, technical documentation, and troubleshooting hardware-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform validation and verification testing on electronic products and components
• Set up and operate laboratory equipment to collect electrical, thermal, and functional data
• Conduct performance, reliability, and environmental testing of hardware systems
• Record, organize, and maintain accurate test data and observations
• Assist with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of product issues
• Support evaluation of engineering changes and product improvements
• Ensure testing is completed in accordance with established safety and laboratory procedures
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams on development projects
• Create and maintain technical reports, test summaries, and supporting documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methods, fixtures, and lab processes

Required Qualifications

Education

• Associate's degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field

Experience

• Hands-on experience testing and evaluating electronic hardware products
• Experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, or product development environment
• Familiarity with battery-powered devices, power systems, or charging technologies is preferred

Technical Skills

• Experience using common electronics test equipment
• Strong understanding of electrical circuits, components, and troubleshooting techniques
• Ability to execute test plans and accurately analyze results
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Communication & Documentation

• Experience preparing technical reports and test documentation
• Ability to maintain accurate, well-organized records and data
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
